AMAROO GIRLS CREW

Work experience, skill development and exposure program. This is a 10-week program developed for 16+ year-old NDIS participants who would like to gain practical, hands-on work experience on a working farm in a supportive environment. All while building confidence, learning how to work as a team and
problem-solving.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

  • Toolbox and safety meetings and reflections

  • Livestock management - equine and cattle

  • Fence building and repairs

  • Farm machinery servicing and repairs

  • Bush regeneration, weed control, erosion control and pasture maintenance

  • Cooking and meal preparation

  • Agricultural drone technology

  • Hand tool identification and use

  • Sewing and leatherwork

  • Teamwork and personal development

  • Problem solving and communication

  • NDIS participants over 16 either male or female are welcome to enrol in this course.

  • -Certificate of Completion from Amaroo

    -Personal work experience reference from the program facilitators

    -Graduation gift for each participant to support them on their work experience journey

  • Our delivery is flexible and the above are examples of our program inclusions.

    We incorporate specific learning requests from the RANCH HANDS during the initial session, therefore we can incorporate any specific skill development requests into the program.
